Well I'm excited to have finally gotten to this one. I've been keeping this resturant in the back of my head for months now, and just now actually tried them. Let's start with the maps!
I know I said I'd write up the blog post for this last week, sorry about that. I totally dropped the ball there. But the important bit is that I'm here now!
First I want to give props to everybody that was kind enough to show up:
Please forgive me if I'm forgetting anyone... that weekend was kind of a blurr
Now, what's say we see some pictures?
As I said, there was a lot of spirited conversation... I have no idea what Scott is talking about here, but it requires that he flail his arms about wildly! Brent looks like he might be edging away slowly.
Viv and Grailpup sleeping in the stroler in the background there.
Chooch seems to be letting into the flight end of fight or flight. The food had everybody on edge.
Actually, aside from The Horror there on top the sausages, the rest actually looks pretty good. If you've not listened to the audio yet, The Horror is a bacon soaked bagel from under the bacon in the steam tray.
Honestly, hasbrowns should not be kept in a steam tray.
Everybody just kind of picked at the food. It really wasn't that great.
Ok, Scott looks waaaay to happy considering what he's about to put in his mouth. That's a big old bite of The Horror right there. Greg there on the left, well he's had a bite... you'll notice he's not having more.
Here we go kids! This is a good one. Todd's Place. Holy cow did I get a lot of food. We've got two, count them two pictures, to cover the meal in whole.
I'm skipping our customary menu shot this week though... it's up on Flickr, but I doubt you can read it anyway. But, here is a map:
Huzzah! Something very special for you all. We have a guest podcaster / eater! Awesome huh?
I am very pleased to preset to you an episode by none other than Philippa Ballantine. I assume you're already familiar with her work as I've pimped it here before but if not, go check it out. http://www.pjballantine.com/
First, a map just in case you're in the area and want to give Nikau Cafe a try:
Welcome children big and small to another breakfast adventure. Again we're venturing further from the homestead. I was in Seattle a couple weeks back now and got to eat at Voula's Offshore Cafe as previously seen on Food Network. The meal turned out a little disappointing though, but you can listen for the details. As always, here's the map and the meal. Enjoy!
Well I'd say "Hail my triumphant return!" but when it's been my own lazy fault, I doubt triumph is in the equation. But none the less I'm back. This time we're eating at Buddy's diner. So let's take a quick look at the picture and map and jump to the audio!
I know I know... I'm way late. I said I'd have an episode before Vegas and well... it didn't so much happen. I got back yesterday about 10:00 and I'm leaving to go to Seattle about noon tomorrow so it's going to be a few more days. I promise though, when I get back, I've got good stuff. Scout's honor.
